About

LocalPix is a Luminesca project: free, browser-based image tools that keep your files on your device.

What we build

• Background removal with ormbg (Apache-2.0), loaded only after you select an image.
• Format conversion (HEIC via libheif-js WASM on demand, LGPL; WebP/AVIF via browser decode where possible).
• Compress-to-KB for quick size targets.

What we do not do

• We do not use RMBG or other non-commercial BRIA weights.
• This MVP does not offer BiRefNet or BEN2 switches.
• We do not require an account to use the tools.
